Welcome to Breckenridge! Whether you’re here for the stunning scenery, outdoor activities, or vibrant local culture, we want to ensure you have the best experience possible. Here are some tips to help you enjoy your stay while respecting the environment and local community. For more tips, visit BLikeBreckenridge.com.
1. NO CAR, NO PROBLEM: With almost everything within walking distance (and our charming Main Street to boot), exploring on your own two feet is the way to go. Click to see the Free Ride bus schedule.
2. R-E-S-P-E-C-T: Please be respectful during your stay. Keep noise to a minimum, park in designated spots, dispose of trash and recycling properly, and pick up after your furry friends!
3. THE GREAT TROLL: The Breckenridge Troll, Isak, is Breckenridge’s most popular outdoor art exhibit and is only a short walk from town, so use those two feet, bus, or shuttle to take in this larger-than-life experience.
4. MAKE RESERVATIONS: Plan ahead when possible and make reservations for activities and dining. Check online for more information.
5. DON’T PET THE MOOSE: Keep your distance — If that moose doesn’t fit behind your outstretched thumb, you’re too close.
6. DON’T FEED THE BEARS: Keep yourself and our bears safe. Always secure your trash and food properly during your outdoor adventures.
7. DON’T FEED OUR CRITTERS: That cute little ground squirrel has plenty to eat and doesn’t need your potato chips. Even for that photo you want! Help keep our wildlife wild!
8. KINDNESS MOVES MOUNTAINS: Practice kindness toward others and Mother Nature on your adventures.
9. SPREAD OUT: A full parking lot probably means you want to pick a different trail for your hike. Come back another time or choose another trail to explore.
10. HEY, NEIGHBOR!: Like our natural surroundings, our local community is a protected resource. Help us keep our friendly small-town vibe by being a good neighbor during your stay.
11. DO NOT DISTURB: Take only photos and leave only footprints. Leave plants, wildflowers, and historical items so others can experience the joy of discovery.
